Black bear attacks 10-year-old boy in Connecticut backyard
The 10-year-boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being injured by a 250-pound black bear.

Wildlife officers in Colorado said this likely 10-year-old boar, a male bear, was looking for a good place to den for the winter. And possibly found it under the deck of a home in a residential Durango neighborhood.
MORRIS, Conn. – A 10-year-old was taken to the hospital after officials say a 250-pound black bear attacked him in his backyard.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) said the incident happened on Sunday just before 11 a.m.
The boy was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT, where he received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The bear was said to be an untagged male weighing approximately 250 pounds.
The bear was found and later euthanized by DEEP Environmental Conservation Police. The animal's remains were sent to the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory in Storrs, CT, for further investigation.
