7 of our favorite weather-wise Grammy winners

The Recording Academy awards coveted Grammy awards Sunday night.

The Recording Academy awards its 2022 Grammy Awards Sunday night. To celebrate, FOX Weather picked out seven of our favorite weather-wise song winners from previous years.

"Purple Rain"

Prince and the Revolution released the album in 1984. Prince walked away with the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal award and Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or Television Special. He also starred in the movie, "Purple Rain."

"Set Fire to the Rain" 

Adele took home the Best Pop Solo Performance for her live version of "Set Fire to the Rain" in 2013. The album "21" on which the song appeared won Album and Best Pop Vocal Album in 2012.

"Sunrise" 

Norah Jones won the Best Pop Vocal Performance with "Sunrise" in 2005.

"Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" 

The Best Rhythm and Blues Song award went to Bill Withers in 1961.

"Running Against the Wind" 

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band took home the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1981.

"Blown Away" 

In 2013, Carrie Underwood's recording of "Blown Away" won her the Best Country Solo Performance Award.

"Stormy Weather" 

While not technically a Grammy Award winner, this recording of Stormy Weather by Ethel Waters was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003. Waters first performed the song at the Cotton Club in Harlem in 1933.
