Well, Oscar Mayer said their "Cold Dog" boasts both refreshing and smokey umami notes. And let's not forget the signature swirl of "mustard" on the outside.
"After the overwhelming fan excitement for our beloved Cold Dog, it was a no-brainer to make this hot dog-inspired frozen pop a reality," said Anne Field, a spokeswoman for Oscar Mayer.
The idea stemmed from the company's "Stupid or Genius" campaign and sparked a sizzling social media debate. And surprisingly, there were tens of thousands of fans who relished the idea of crowning the Cold Dog "genius," so the brand made it a reality.
Popbar, a premium frozen desserts company known for handcrafted gelato on-a-stick, helped the company create its frank-tastic new invention. They are available at select locations in Long Beach in California, New York City, Alpharetta-Atlanta in Georgia and New Orleans.
