Mark Sudduth
Exclusive Storm Tracker
Mark Sudduth joined Fox Weather as an Exclusive Storm Tracker in 2022 and has nearly 30 years of experience documenting hurricanes and other high-impact weather events.
Sudduth uses unmanned camera systems to stream live video during severe weather. His work has helped to show the power of hurricanes and other severe weather without having anyone in harm's way; leading to several awards from local, state and federal agencies as well as numerous conferences. Sudduth has also studied the impacts of large hail; again using cameras to capture stunning high-resolution video in an effort to learn more about this destructive, costly severe weather phenomenon. In late 2024, Sudduth began using immersive 360 degree video, enabling a new level of storytelling.
Sudduth holds a degree in geography from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington.
