Increased threat for severe weather in the Southeast Wednesday

Two rounds of severe storms will be possible Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. In the afternoon, these storms might get strong enough to bring damaging winds and even tornadoes. If any supercells develop, they will have the potential to produce strong tornadoes (EF-2+) across central and southern Mississippi and Alabama.
