Atmospheric river event bringing torrential rain, snow to California
Flood watches are posted up and down the California coast as an atmospheric river will bring torrential rain to many areas in need of moisture but too much rain in burn scar areas could lead to flooding and landslides. The incoming storm will peak in southern California on Thursday with rainfall rates up to 1 inch per hour. Higher elevations could see more than six feet of snow.
