Atmospheric river to bring multiday flood threat to Pacific Northwest
An atmospheric river is expected to affect western portions of Washington and Oregon beginning Saturday and continuing into Tuesday. This will bring the potential for urban and river flooding impacts. Rainfall amounts of 3-5 inches are forecast with higher amounts possible in upslope areas. Farther inland, the incoming combine with snowmelt to produce flooding across western Montana and northern Idaho. Hurricane Hunters will fly a second reconnaissance mission into the storm later on Friday.
