Woman missing after falling into rushing rapids of Washington state river

Authorities have transitioned their search for a 28-year-old woman who fell into the Carbon River near the Fairfax Bridge to a recovery mission, the Pierce County (Washington) Sheriff's Office said. The incident occurred about noon Sunday when the woman and her dog reportedly slipped into the river.
