Heavy dose of snow expected across Rockies, upper Midwest
Back-to-back storms will bring rounds of snow, rain and severe storms from the Central Plains to the Northeast this weekend into early next week. The snow, while still impactful, will not be a major event. A swath of 6 inches or more of snow is possible from western South Dakota and Nebraska, though Minnesota, to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Accumulation of a foot or more is unlikely.
