Southeast storms to fizzle out by Saturday evening
A line of storms will extend from western Tennessee down south to Louisiana on Saturday morning. Residents in cities such as Memphis, Jackson, Mississippi, Baton Rouge and New Orleans may be woken up early by thunder. A few damaging wind gusts will be possible, but the overall severe threat will be much lower than Friday. The severe threat will end Saturday afternoon as storms reach the Southeast. Mainly rain with a few rumbles of thunder will roll across Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. The storms will finally dissipate Sunday evening.
