Red Cross funding helps deadly Kentucky tornado victims a year later
The deadliest December tornado outbreak happened across five states one year ago today. There were193 confirmed tornados across the South and Midwest where twisters devastated small towns leaving communities in shambles and killing 90. According to initial damage estimates, overall losses amounted to around $5.2 billion with projected insured losses as much as $4 billion. The American Red Cross was just one of many organizations delivering relief to those impacted. Executive Director Misty Thomas with their Western Kentucky chapter joins FOX Weather.
