Back-to-back storms threatens millions with heavy snow, severe storms across US

The first storm will be the weaker of the two, an appetizer storm, if you will. It will still bring showers to the Southern and Central Plains, with blizzard conditions in the Dakotas and parts of Minnesota. The second storm will be the stronger of the two. On the warm side, a multi-day severe weather event is expected. On the cold side, a significant winter storm will blast the Rockies, Plains and Upper Midwest.
