Southeast could see record-highs this week while dangerous arctic air hits the West
Record February heat is possible across the Southeast starting Monday and will peak Wednesday-Thursday. Hundreds of record highs are possible starting Wednesday and lasting through the weekend. Meanwhile, a cold front, associated with the coast-to-coast storm, will dive south before stalling on Wednesday across the Northern Tier. This will send temperatures plunging nearly 40 degrees in 24 hours in some locations across Rockies and Upper Midwest.
