Record highs possible across eastern US while West Coast will see bitter cold temperatures
The majority of the southeast is expected to have multiple days of record heat starting Wednesday with highs in the mid 80s. Parts of Florida could break their February monthly records as highs exceed 90. On the contrary, bitter, arctic air will return with a vengeance. A strong cold front will dip down from Canada and send temperatures plunging across all of the Northwest, portions of the West Coast and the Rockies.
