California to be swamped with heavy rain, snow in the mountains through Wednesday

Extreme mountain and foothill snow impacts are again expected in northern California as snow levels drop to 1,000 feet or even 500 feet. Snow levels in Southern California will be much higher than the ongoing event but could still be low enough to impact I-5 and the Grapevine region.
