Snowstorm drops up to 5 inches of snow on southern Chicago metro

Friday’s snowstorm in Chicago is a tale of two halves. In the southern half of the area, 3 to 5 inches of snow fell, while in the northern part of Chicagoland -- including the city -- struck out.
