Cross-country storm to bring heavy snow from the Plains to Upper Midwest

The next cross-country storm will impact much of the country through Saturday. On the cold side, heavy snow is likely in parts of the Rockies and Upper Midwest/Upper Great Lakes. While the highest totals will be found in the mountains, Denver could end up with 1-3" of powdery snow by Thursday.
