Severe storms, flooding rain expected across South Texas on Sunday
A developing area of low pressure will bring threats of severe weather and flash flooding to southern portions of Texas on Sunday. Severe storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts over 60 mph and a few tornadoes. The persistent rain on already-saturated soils will increase the risk of flash flooding. The heaviest rain should be focused in parts of southeastern Texas, especially near the coast.
