Record heat continues in the interior West as May begins

Record heat is expected to continue across the Rockies Monday. The ridge of high pressure associated with the Omega Blocking Pattern remains responsible for the anomalous warmth. After Monday, only a handful of record highs are possible Tuesday through Friday.
