Warmer, drier weather returns to central, eastern US in the week ahead
The chilly, rainy pattern that lingered over the eastern third of the country last week has finally exited, replaced by warm temperatures more typical of May. Those from the Plains to the Eastern Seaboard will see high temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s in the week ahead, which, in some places, is 30 to 40 degrees warmer than last week.
