Family cashes in $250,000 of bonds missing since Hurricane Katrina

Family finds rotting bearer bonds in a box in attic. They were in a bank vault flooded by Hurricane Katrina. The original owner claimed the soggy box and put it in the attic 18 years ago. The owner died. The family of the deceased found the bond tatters and was able to cash them in for a quarter million dollars.
