A slow-moving upper-level disturbance will traverse the Gulf of Mexico and park itself over Florida later this week. The result will be numerous thunderstorms that develop each day starting Wednesday, then significantly increasing in coverage Thursday and beyond. Multiple inches of rain are expected throughout Florida, which could result in some flash flooding.
