Rare June storms striking parts of California
The FOX Forecast Center is tracking a stormy stretch for most of California this week. June is typically the start of the dry season for the state, but that won't be the case, as nearly a half-inch of rain could fall through Friday. While that doesn't sound like much, remember that most locations in California average very little rain in June. In addition to the rain, thunderstorms with dangerous lightning will be possible, along with wind gusts to 30 mph.
