New York State Mesonet tracking massive smoke plume from Canadian wildfires

The New York State Mesonet has a specialized network of 17 profiler sites that are each equipped with a Doppler LiDAR and a microwave radiometer that scan the atmosphere. The data is used to assess air quality, among other things. All 17 sites have been monitoring the hazardous air quality across the state from the Canada wildfires.
