Watching central Atlantic for tropical or subtropical development this week

An area of low pressure is expected to form in the next day or two several hundred miles east-northeast of Bermuda. This system could acquire some tropical or subtropical characteristics during the second half of the week while it moves generally eastward. By this weekend, the system should turn northward, bringing it over cooler waters and likely limiting additional development chances.
