Problems for boaters in the Long Island Sound

Heavy rains triggered massive flooding across New England. Even though the rains are slowing the floodwaters have washed a debris field of trees, logs, cooler and docks into the Long Island Sound.  The NWS and Coast Guard warned boaters and swimmers of dangers lurking just below the surface.
