Storm, flood threat shifts to Northeast on Friday

A cold front will advance to the Eastern Seaboard on Friday, placing the highest threat for flash flooding and strong-to-severe storms over the Northeast, Mid-South and southern High Plains. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will probably be ongoing at the start of the day across parts of the Mid-Atlantic into New York.
