Series of storms to slam Pacific Northwest with heavy rain, raising threat of debris flows
The Pacific Northwest is welcoming a much-needed pattern change that will provide days of rain for the region. Since late June, the Northwest has endured unusually dry conditions and hot temperatures. On Monday, a large and strong area of low pressure moving south from the Gulf of Alaska will begin to send a series of storms into the region, bringing multiple rounds of rain this week.
