Indy Motor Speedway opened a month early to host eclipse party with NASA and Purdue
The President of the Indy Motor Speedway plans on watching the eclipse from turn one. The speedway announced the solar viewing event five years ago to the day. "We have the biggest racing and sports facility in the world, why wouldn't we have an eclipse event," he said. The space had to "un-winterize" a month early to open up to 50,000 sky watching enthusiasts.
