Severe weather Thursday poses risk to Chicago, Indianapolis and St. Louis
A stormy week is underway for millions in the Midwest and middle Mississippi River Valley. A low-pressure system traversing the center of the country continues to help trigger rounds of showers and thunderstorms, leading to the threat of some flash flooding and severe weather. The low is forecast to gradually push eastward through the Upper Midwest on Thursday and reach the Great Lakes by the end of the week. Damaging winds and large hail should be the main threats, but a couple of tornadoes may also occur.
