Cluster of storms in Gulf of Mexico being watched for tropical development

The National Hurricane Center is now watching a broad area of thunderstorms soaking the Texas and Louisiana coasts to see if it might slowly develop into a tropical system. Regardless, it's a very wet stretch of weather coming up for the Gulf Coast with up to 5 inches of rain and potential flooding issues.
