Hurricane Kirk to batter East Coast beaches
Hurricane Kirk is 2,000 miles away from the U.S. mainland, but it will have an impact on beachgoers this weekend. Large swells from the massive storm are rolling toward the East Coast and will likely arrive this weekend. These swells will kick up big waves at the beach which could cause additional beach erosion. Dangerous rip currents are also expected. This unsettled beach activity will continue into next week as Kirk moves north through the Atlantic.
