Catastrophic storm surge to inundate Florida's Gulf Coast
The track of Milton will have significant consequences for Florida's Gulf Coast. The angle of approach will have the core of the storm moving perpendicular into the coastline. This track keeps anywhere south and east of the track in the worst of the winds, which will be pushing water rapidly into the coastline. Storm surge amounts will likely easily surpass 10 feet and could be as high as 15 feet.
