Environmental survey aims to map king tide flooding potential across coastal Virginia
Catch the King Tide is the world's largest environmental survey, leveraging community science to aid in GPS flood data collection throughout coastal Virginia. It aims to map the king tide's maximum inundation extents, with the goal of validating and improving predictive models for future forecasting of increasingly pervasive nuisance flooding. Derek Loftis, Assistant Professor at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, joins FOX Weather to discuss the project.
