Hurricane Kristy could become a major hurricane this week as it swirls away from Mexico

Kristy reached hurricane status Tuesday and is forecast to strengthen into a strong Category 3 or even Category 4 hurricane as it moves west farther out to sea in the Pacific Ocean.
