Helene survivors who lost homes given campers to help survive winter
Dozens of Helene survivors and their families will have a warm place to lie their heads over the holidays thanks to the generosity of others and Operation Helo. The charity, born out of western North Carolina, is giving dozens of families who lost everything the ultimate gift: shelter. Many of these families receiving campers at no cost to them, have endured freezing nights sleeping in tents and cars. Now they're getting the warm and comfort they so desperately need to survive the brutal winter. We are there as the families receive the campers and will share their harrowing stories of survival.
