Long-lasting cold bringing frigid start to first weeks of January

After a brief reprieve from winter's grasp, temperatures will take a dive for the Central and Eastern U.S. later this week. By Wednesday temperatures will start to dip as Arctic air moves south and this cold will hold for the first few weeks of January.
