Rare lake-effect snow event in Chicagoland on Monday
Parts of Illinois and Wisconsin will see rare lake-effect snow off Lake Michigan on Monday. Snow rates in this band are as high as a 1/2" to 1" per hour. The band is expected to drop south Monday and swing though the heart of Chicago resulting in hazardous travel conditions. Kenosha, Wisconsin could also see snow. The lake-effect snow will impact the morning and evening commutes.
