Invest 97L dumps heavy rain while moving inland over Central America
The National Hurricane Center said that while Invest 97L is unlikely to develop, its rainfall could produce flash flooding, along with mudslides in areas of higher terrain.
Invest 97L, a tropical disturbance in the Caribbean Sea that has been tracked for several days, moved inland over Central America while dumping heavy rain on the region Saturday.
WHAT IS AN INVEST DURING HURRICANE SEASON?
The National Hurricane Center said that while Invest 97L is unlikely to develop, its rainfall could produce flash flooding, along with mudslides in areas of higher terrain.
No other areas in the Atlantic Basin are currently being monitored for development in the next week, but in the Eastern Pacific, deadly Tropical Storm Pilar is moving away from Central America.
