Severe storms move through Plains overnight with threat for 85-mph winds, large hail

The Storm Prediction Center received dozens of reports of severe weather across the region.

Firefighters in Oklahoma City responded to reports of a house fire that may have been caused by a lightning strike.

In addition to the threats of hail and damaging winds, the FOX Forecast Center warned storms had the potential to produce heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding.

The threat of severe storms on Wednesday is expected to move northeastward and could impact the Twin Cities and communities in western Wisconsin and northern Iowa.
