Beatriz falls apart off coast of Mexico

After reaching peak intensity Friday, Beatriz dissipated quickly Saturday after interacting with the coastline.

Beatriz dissipated off the western coast of Mexico on Saturday, and the National Hurricane Center has issued its last advisory on the storm.

The storm's demise happened quickly after Beatriz interacted with the coastline, where torrential rain and gusty winds have been causing problems since Friday. At its peak, Beatriz was a Category 1 storm with 85 mph winds.

The remnants of the storm are expected to be over the Baja California Peninsula by Sunday or Monday.
