Patty becomes post-tropical cyclone as remnants head for Europe

Between late Monday and Tuesday, Patty or its remnants are expected to produce rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with local amounts up to 5 inches across portions of Portugal and western Spain.

MIAMI – Patty has dissipated over the northeastern Atlantic, becoming a post-tropical cyclone Monday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph with higher gusts as it moves away from the Azores, the National Hurricane Center said.
