Denver ties record for no snow

The city's average first date for snow is Oct. 18.


Denver has tied the record for the latest date without measurable snow and will likely break the record Monday. 

As of Sunday, the city ties the No. 1 on the list with Nov. 21, 1934.  

The city has yet to receive measurable snow. For the snow to be considered measurable, there needs to be at least 0.1 inches of accumulation. 

With temperatures in the 50s forecasted for Denver Sunday, the city is sure to take the sole top spot.

Many wonder why they haven't seen snow, as the mountains continue to receive a generous amount and ski resorts are beginning to open.

The city's average first date of snow is Oct. 18. Denver's last time seeing measurable snow was 214 days ago, on Apr. 21.
