Ida-driven rain produced flash flooding across the region
NEW YORK – Heavy rain, driven mostly by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, produced flash flooding across the New York City area Wednesday night.
According to the National Weather Service office in New York, the deluge set records across the region. The first-ever flash flood emergency was issued for Northeast New Jersey and the second-ever emergency was issued for New York City.
