LEACHVILLE, Ark. - New drone video from Leachville, Arkansas, shows the destruction that was left behind when powerful storms moved through the area on Friday night.

The video shows cotton fields that suffered severe damage and several buildings that were reduced to rubble after the storms moved through.

Dozens of people were killed and neighborhoods were destroyed after several powerful tornadoes ripped across several states starting Friday evening.

The historic tornado outbreak began in northeastern Arkansas.

Officials said one person was killed and at least five others were injured when a tornado hit Monette Manor, an 86-bed nursing home in Monette.

The storm destroyed a Dollar General in Leachville, killing one person as the storm continued.

Survey crews from the National Weather Service are out in full force in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee and Kentucky to investigate storm damage.
