WEATHER WIRE: Severe weather, tornadoes tear across South during multiday severe weather outbreak
A multiday severe weather outbreak with tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding is expected to continue through Wednesday.

Matt Magiera says he captured the tornado south of County Road 34 and 59 in Robertsdale.
The tornado was apparently on the ground for several miles before lifting.
Magiera also notes that power was lost in the town shortly after.

Meteorologists say a confirmed tornado is moving through Alabama and impacting the area around Summerdale.
Alabama is the third state to see a tornado on Tuesday, with tornado damage reported in both Louisiana and Mississippi.
The Storm Prediction Center issued a Tornado Watch for parts of Alabama and Florida until 6 a.m. CDT. The watch mean conditions are favorable in and close to the alerted area for tornadoes to form during thunderstorms.
Around 3 million residents are under the watch box.
Radar shows a rough approximation of where the New Orleans tornado moved through. Areas in the red saw the most significant shear, meaning the tornado was either close to being on the ground or even all the ground when it moved from southwest to northeast. The National Weather Service will determine through a survey how long the tornado was on the ground and its strength.

Officials confirmed at least one death from the New Orleans tornado, WVUE reported. Damage assessments are still underway and officials are expected to release more info overnight.
A Tornado Warning has been issued for Baldwin County in southwestern Alabama. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 4 miles northeast of Fort Morgan, or 7 miles east of Dauphin Island, moving north at 45 mph.

The video in the story below, shot by storm chaser Brian Emfinger of Live Storms Media, shows a red truck driving down a road in Elgin, Texas, as it gets blown over onto its side by a tornado.
The truck was then spun around before getting flipped back upright onto its wheels.
Amazingly, the truck was able to drive away as the twister went on to knock down trees and power lines along the road.
Conditions to produce these powerful floods can happen under various circumstances, but there are warning signs.
Both Bush Intercontinental Airport William P. Hobby Airport have ground stops early Tuesday morning due to thunderstorms. This is impacting most flights that have not taken off yet, they will be held at their departure until the ground stop is lifted.
Parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are very likely to see flash flooding on Tuesday.

The Upshur County, Texas, Sheriff's Office provided an update early Tuesday morning on the storms that moved through the area Monday evening.
"There has been significant damage to homes with some being totally destroyed," the sheriff said on Facebook.
At this time, there have been reports of non-life-threatening injuries and no reported fatalities.
The threat of severe weather has shifted to the east on Tuesday to Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
